Three-Stage Analysis

If several outer packagings are to be combined into one transport packaging on account of their dimensions or for other reasons, Multiscience also offers users a very efficient experimental and planning tool for their pallet-compatible design with MultiPack. This applies for the individual packaging and the outer packaging used to combine several individual packagings as well as for the transport packaging used to pack several outer packagings.

The following analysis parameters can be varied according to the user's specifications in the three-stage analysis:

  • Dimensions of the individual packaging
  • Piece number of the individual packagings per outer packaging
  • Arrangement of the individual packagings in the outer packaging
  • Construction and material thickness of the outer packaging
  • Number of outer packagings per transport packaging
  • Arrangement of the outer packagings in the transport packaging
  • Construction and material thickness of the transport packaging
  • Arrangement of the transport packaging on the pallet (in layers and not in layers)
  • Permissible maximum weight of the outer packaging and transport packaging

On the basis of the possible variations specified by the user, MultiPack calculates numerous alternative arrangements for individual packaging, outer packaging and transport packaging in a matter of seconds with the primary goal of maximizing the number of individual packagings per pallet for each alternative arrangement. The solution report contains a tabular display of the alternative arrangements and dimensions, sorted in descending order of the number of individual packagings per pallet. By choosing an alternative from the list, the user is given a detailed picture of the feasibility since MultiPack shows him not only all of the necessary detailed data but also an informative 3D graphic.
